Nokia have recently unveiled a barrage of new handsets. These include the C3, a mid range QWERTY handset, built with functionality in mind. It is an ideal phone for those who need to get the job done with no need for all the bells and whistles found on many new phones. The C3 utilizes vibration and ringing as its alert types, and users have the option to assign MP3 files as ring tones allowing customization of the phone so they can hear a track of their choice any time the phone rings. Social networking integration is included, which allows users to stay in touch with friends and family through popular sites such as Face book and MySpace. A versatile media player supports a whole host of video and music file formats such as MP3/MP4, whilst a stereo FM radio player and a range of pre-installed and downloadable games are provided to keep users entertained for hours on end. Voice command/dial, a handy organizer and T9 predictive text input are all included to for everyday functionality.

A micro SD slot is also provided for this purpose, which can accommodate a memory card of up to 16 GB, which is sufficient to store a reasonable sized digital music collection or a large number of video clips. The Nokia C3 is equipped with a digital camera boasting 2 mega pixels. This operates at a pixel resolution of 1600×1200 pixels, so users can take reasonably high quality snapshots wherever they are. It can also shoot video in QCIF quality at a rate of 15 frames per second. Nokia have come up trumps with the C3, as it contains great everyday functionality, whilst remaining appealing to the style conscious with a range of colour variant, all whilst remaining an affordable handset.
